Sulpicius Severus

Sulpicius Severus was a Christian writer and historian from Aquitaine (modern-day France). He is best known for his Life of Saint Martin of Tours, one of the most popular hagiographies of the Middle Ages. His clear prose style earned him the nickname 'the Christian Sallust.'
